Amber Hampton is a Clinical Nurse Coordinator at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress. She graduated in 2016 from The University of Maryland College Park with a B.S. in Biological Sciences with a focus in Neurology and Physiology. She then went on to work as a Formulations Technician for an oncology contract research organization. She realized she had a passion for research but wanted to be more involved with clinical research where she could help support trial participants directly. She obtained an M.S. in Nursing (MSN) with a Clinical Nurse Leader focus from the University of Maryland Baltimore School of Nursing in 2020. After earning her MSN, she worked at The National Institutes of Health Clinical Center on an adult oncology unit specializing in immunotherapy and surgical clinical trials. She received a House of Hope award in 2022 as well as a 2023 CEO Patient Safety Champion Award during her time at The National Institutes of Health. She looks forward to supporting the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress and being part of their important work.
