Evan is a Study Coordinator for the Child and Family program at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (CSTS). He received his M.A. in Clinical Science in Psychology at American University in the Fall of 2023. He worked alongside the Washington College of Law on his master’s capstone on acculturative stressors that immigration-impacted students have faced in higher institutions in the United States. He has worked on different IRB-approved projects on immigrant mental health, ADHD, and body-focused repetitive behaviors. He has conducted literature reviews and data analysis as a research assistant with the psychology department at American University and was a teaching assistant for an undergraduate Introduction to Forensic Psychology course. He interned at DC Health Psychology where he worked on projects about mood disorders coinciding with health psychology, such as chronic pain and different eating disorders. He became deeply fascinated by the Stanford Prison Experiment at a young age which inspired him to explore psychological research and assessment. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is the form of psychotherapy he is interested in the most and he aspires to be a psychotherapist.
