TSgt Jessica N. Moore is the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress and has been with the Center since November 2022. She oversees a range of education modules for 400 junior medical officers and organizes behavioral health conferences that reach international audiences. Additionally, she serves as a member of data collection teams, assists in preparation of initial data analysis, administers and collects survey data, performs field interviews, and collects DNA/RNA samples for stress and biomarker studies of military populations for research publications. Furthermore, TSgt Moore provides hands-on training and mentoring to over 200 joint and allied military medical students in field exercises annually.

Sergeant Moore is from DeFuniak Springs, Florida and entered the Air Force in January 2006. She began her career as a Mental Health Apprentice when she graduated from technical school in June 2006. Her background includes numerous positions throughout the Mental Health career field, including positions in the Family Advocacy Program, Substance Abuse Program, Primary Care Behavioral Health, Inpatient Psychiatry, Embedded Psychological Operations, Psychiatric Aeromedical Evacuations, and Correctional Clinical Services. She has been stationed at locations in Texas, California, Florida, Turkey, and Germany.

TSgt Moore has deployed in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, NEW DAWN and INHERENT RESOLVE. Additionally, she assisted in a longitudinal study of contingency operations’ impact on United States Air Force Security Forces member’s resiliency. Prior to her current position, TSgt Moore was the Mental Health Flight Chief at the 52d Operation Medical Readiness Squadron, Spangdahlem AB, Germany.
