Clinical Coordinator II, Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress
Department of Psychiatry
Uniformed Services University
Laura Liu graduated from Kansas State University in 2002 with a B.S. in Psychology, a secondary major in Labor and Industrial Relations and a minor in Economics. She then continued her education by obtaining her nursing degree from Southwestern Illinois College in 2006. She also became a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals in 2014. Laura has worked in a variety of nursing and research roles through the years with experience in family practice, emergency department, pulmonary, oncology, and mental health. While she has worked on numerous research projects in the past, she especially enjoyed helping patients with smoking cessation, bipolar disorder and clinical depression. As a proud military spouse, she is looking forward to merging her passion for mental health and giving back to our heroes through studying PTSD among veterans and active-duty service members.
