Mitch joined the center in 2025 after earning his BS in Psychology from Texas A&M University. At Texas A&M, he served as a Lead Research Assistant in the Research and Interventions for Stress-related Conditions (RISC) Lab, where he contributed to studies on transdiagnostic risk factors for PTSD and suicidality. He also worked as a Research Assistant in the Sohrabji Lab at the Texas A&M College of Medicine, helping develop experimental therapeutics for ischemic stroke targeting the neural-gut axis. Beyond research, he oversaw the Texas A&M HelpLine, providing immediate support and intervention to students in crisis—a role that deepened his commitment to clinical work. Mitch intends to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology and hopes to commission as an active-duty psychologist. At CSTS, he aims to contribute to projects leveraging modern technologies to enhance psychiatric treatment and optimize warfighter performance.
