Robin currently serves as a Subject Matter Expert – Behavioral Health Consultant for the National Guard Programs supported by the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress.

Prior to joining the CSTS team, Robin served as the Director of Psychological Health for the Texas Military Department where she supervised the Behavioral Health Program for the Texas Army National Guard and the Counseling Department for the Texas Army, Air, and State Guard. Through public legislative testimony before the Texas House of Representatives Defense and Veterans Affairs Committee, Robin spearheaded the creation of and oversight for the State Missions Behavioral Health Program supporting Texas Army, Air, and State Guard SMs activated for the State Border Mission. Robin supported Texas’ State Partnership Program and developed and executed a training course in Combat and Operational Stress Control for the Egyptian Army. She served as Region VI Lead for the Behavioral Health Working Group and as a member of the C2P2 credentialing board. Robin’s efforts serving as Contract Office Representative supported the conversion to a permanent full-time behavioral health team within the Texas Army National Guard.

Robin has served in various clinical roles in her 15 years as a social worker, including as a behavioral health contractor for the Texas Army National Guard, as a clinical therapist with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, within inpatient behavioral health serving the active duty military community, healthcare for persons experience homelessness, and child protective services.

Robin received her Bachelor of Social Work at Azusa Pacific University (Los Angeles, California), her Master of Social Work at Nazareth University (Rochester, New York), and is a current Doctor of Social Work student at Tulane University (New Orleans, Louisiana) where her research focuses on the mechanisms of resilience in survivors of Interpersonal Violence throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Supervisor (LCSW-S) (TX), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) (TX), Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP), Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), Certified Acudetox Specialist (CAS) (TX), Animal-Assisted Therapist (AAT), and Board Certified Diplomate (BCD) in Clinical Social Work.

In her free time, Robin enjoys yoga, reading, cooking, climbing mountains, listening to public radio, and spending time with her family in New York.
