Sara attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where she graduated from the concurrent degree program with a BA and MS in Integrative Physiology as well as a minor in Mathematics. While at CU Boulder, Sara conducted research in the Sleep and Chronobiology Laboratory, and specialized in novel quantification methods of sleep electroencephalography.
For over 13 years, Sara has managed projects and performed research related to sleep and performance for the Department of Defense. Before joining the National Guard Programs, she worked as the Lab Manager for the Chronobiology, Light and Sleep Lab at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Prior to that, she was a Project Manager in the Sleep and Fatigue Research Lab at the Naval Health Research Center.
Some of Sara’s professional interests include providing evidence-based sleep education for health and performance, as well as implementing behavior-based sleep treatment programs.
