Sierra is a Research Assistant at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (CSTS). She graduated from Brown University in 2024 with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A in Literary Arts. While at Brown, she worked as a research intern with the Rhode Island Resilience lab, where she investigated the influence of social context and biomarkers on symptom development of stress disorders in adolescents. Her senior thesis, written under the guidance of Dr. Nicole Nugent, was entitled “Childhood Maltreatment, Romantic Relationship Dysfunction, and Expressive Language in Adolescence.” In the future, Sierra aims to pursue a Ph.D in clinical psychology.
