Topics covered in this training program include disaster psychiatry basics, psychological and behavioral effects of disasters, and effective interventions to reduce adverse effects of disasters
Psychiatric Dimensions of Disaster
Disaster Psychiatry Canada (DPC) hosts an annual CME training conference, “Psychiatric Dimensions of Disasters. The mission of DPC is to develop and maintain a well-trained committed team of psychiatric specialists able to serve the mental health needs of people and communities affected by disasters, in coordination with emergency and public health responders.
