Howard Dubowitz, MD
Howard Dubowitz, MD, is Professor of Pediatrics and the Director of the Center for Families at the University of Maryland Medical School in Baltimore, Maryland. He received his medical training at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, completed an internship in Israel, a pediatric residency at Boston City Hospital, and a fellowship in child abuse and neglect at Children’s Hospital, Boston. Dr. Dubowitz, who holds a Master of Science degree in epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health, is widely published and renowned for his clinical work, teaching, research, and advocacy. Among his numerous professional honors, he is the recipient of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Special Achievement Award.
